I personally don't believe in too much structured learning for toddlers. Kids should play, honestly. Playing in the mud is much more fun than learning stuff they will eventually learn at school anyway. But they may not eve have another chance to play in the mud.
Making kids work for money is a good idea, so that they will learn money doesn't come by easily. Then they will start to prioritize their buying needs. I remember I used to do dishes for my mom for less than a dollar, and did I guard that hard earned money with my life!

Same thing in Australia. A lot of young kids get killed because of drunk driving. One of my high school frineds for one.
